In 2016, the cultural association HABITAT 2020, & ProViaggiArchitettura, with the collaboration of the Fondazione Renzo Piano, set up annual prize for the best degree thesis in the design approach focused on the regeneration of peripheral areas of the Italian territory. For the first edition, the best thesis was chosen within the Bachelor of Architectural Engineering at the University of Padua.
The winner prize consisted of a 40 days journey around the world to visit projects of the RPBW
Silvia Pellizzari, the winner, traveled around the world from the 2nd June to 11th July 2017 and the tour ended in Genoa with a visit at the Renzo Piano Building Workshop and the Renzo Piano Foundation.
