The cultural association HABITAT2020 and ProViaggiaArchitettura, in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Foundation, has created the Prize for the Best Thesis on the Regeneration of Outer Cities. An award for theses adopting a project approach to the theme of the peripheral areas of the Italian territory.
For the first edition of the prize, which will be annual, the best dissertation will be chosen among those by final-year students in the Course in Construction Engineering – Architecture at the Università degli Studi di Padova.
The winner will be given the opportunity to travel around the world with the designers, visiting construction sites and works built by Renzo Piano and the RPBW.
The prize is a 40-day journey through Renzo Piano and the RPBW’s architecture, from 2 June to 11 July 2017. The winner will visit Trento, Bern, Basel, Ronchamp, Paris, Athens, Osaka, Tokyo, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Fort Worth, Dallas, Boston, New York, London and Geneva.
