FROM THE IDEA
TO THE BUILDING.
YOUNG ARCHITECTS
ON SITE
To valorize the experience of the building site as a fundamental formative element in the training of young architects, the Foundation organizes specific workshops for university students in the Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
The first experience dates from 2012, when a group of students in the Building Engineering-Architecture degree program at the University of L'Aquila were involved in the construction of the Auditorium of the park. In the following years, other students were able to participate in building sites at the Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé Foundation in Paris, the Paris Law Court, Columbia University, the Amiens University campus and the École Normale Supérieure campus at Saclay.
The architects responsible for the project together with the professors oversee the students throughout the journey and at the end of the work the students create the building site “notebook”.
