RENZO PIANO WORLD TOUR AWARD 2017
THE FIRST JOURNEY AROUND THE WORLD
The Fondazione Renzo Piano collaborated with the cultural association HABITAT2020 and ProViaggiArchitettura to set up an annual prize for the best degree thesis in the design approach focused on the regeneration of peripheral areas of the Italian territory. For the first edition, the best thesis has been chosen within the Bachelor of Architectural Engineering at the University of Padua and the winner was the architect Silvia Pellizzari with her thesis Un progetto di Cohousing per Sandono, Massanzago.
The winner prize consisted of a forty days journey around the world .The leitmotif of this initiative was the visit of some of the on going and completed projects selected by the Fondazione Renzo Piano. Some architects of the RPBW offices accompained the winner during the visits on site: it has been an apprenticeship opportunity to discovery and learn more about the architecture of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop and meet its protagonists in their respective international locations.
